Detailed Description

Valleyhigh Senior Living has targeted property north of Valleyhigh Road Northwest and east of Kenosha Drive Northwest. The project would require financial assistance, and the developers have applied for tax-increment financing and a federal low-income housing tax credit, said Chris Stokka, project consultant.

Weis said a recent housing study published by Maxfield Research showed great need for affordable senior housing, but there have been few financing options for developers to make projects viable.

"We're not sure this is going to work but we're willing to take a run at the financing if you're of a mind to approve (the project plans)," Weis said.
