Dear Technovation Regional Ambassadors,

As you prepare to kick-off the 2016 season, we wanted to share a few exciting updates from our end.

The CodeGirl Documentary will be available on Youtube starting November 1 through November 5. It would be great if you can arrange for a screening party to spread the word about Technovation and inspire more girls to register. We will share the trailer and Documentary poster next week. If you are planning a screening, please write to Madhavi at [email protected] to help us track our global screenings.

A New Technovation logo will be unveiled soon. Our branding consultants are creating a new logo to focus more on the sense of community for all our partners and participants. We suggest waiting on printing marketing materials for the 2016 season. We hope to share the new logo by the first week of November. We will also have a style guide to help you utilize the new materials.

New T-shirt designs. Since we will have a new logo and brand identity we will share new design for our t-shirts in early January 2016. Feel free to share suggestions on the new t-shirt design and we will pass it along to our design team!

Stay tuned for the CodeGirl poster!

Best,
Madhavi

About Beam
  • For the commercial sector, we tend to register startup activities (new companies and new commercial projects) that bring diversification and high-impact opportunities to the area.
  • For the non-profit sector, we wish to shine light on all the organizations and services that otherwise labor under relative obscurity.
  • Our hope is that dmcbeam.org will encourage cross-sector collaborations and creative solutions.

While there are a number of registries in the community, dmcbeam.org's  distinct value is to pilot a database with a data structure and categorizations that answer the questions such as: What organizations or projects/programs in our community that have purported relevance with some of the over-arching focuses put forward by initiatives such as DMC, J2G and Health Improvements?

This database could be used as one of the ways to explore the capacities of the community. If you are someone on an exploratory journey to learn about the greater Rochester community. dmcbeam.org could be an interesting first step.
