EDUCATION ACTION TEAM:  As you may know, the Education Action Team for In the City for Good temporarily suspended meeting as a few active members moved out of the area, and others in the group began working with the Racial Equity Advisory Team (REAT), under the aegis of the School Board. The REAT work was ended at the end of 2019. As you may be aware, the move to online learning and the many other impacts of the covid19 crisis have affected our school age children, and these impacts have been more serious for some students as others.

Given this environment, we would like to have an exploratory meeting to re-activate our Education Action Team. If you would like to be part of this work—which will be coordinating our work with others who are also interested in reducing disparities and help those kids most in need of assistance—please contact Helen Laack at [email protected].

HOUSING ACTION GROUP:  Monday, September 14th. Details to follow.
