Sunday, September 19th at 2:30pm the Muslim Coalition of ISAIAH, in partnership with broader faith communities, will host a gathering with Rochester Council President Brooke Carlson at MLK Park. We’ll be outdoors, masked, and using a sound system which will allow for folks to spread out and socially distance.
You are invited to an opportunity to create a reality together here in Rochester where the people we elect to represent us are truly accountable to our community and the things we and our families need.
We’re going to have several questions prepared for her about housing and public safety concerns, and it will be a chance for us to learn about her role and what she wants to do to improve our city. But more than that, it will be an opportunity to demonstrate that there is a powerful community in coalition who will partner in leadership with her, supporting the goals and values that we share in her vision while also holding her accountable to them. For our families, for our dreams and desires, for our future of a brighter Rochester, join us for this powerful gathering as we start to build something new together that puts regular people at the center.
