TBE and DBE Study:
- Looking to community help to build out the ecosystem https://youtu.be/OIq55ZiEM_I?t=1034 ; Clarification of Targeted Business definition Questions: 17:37 and possibility of extending to beyond outside construction
- DBE Study has a number of recommendations such as Data Gathering & Parsing, Equity Procurement, Small Business Portal, Enhancing City Website, Intentional Contracting Pathways, Increase Knowledge & City Expertise that require concrete action plans to make them happen. They may require additional funding. CMRC can play a role to advocate for these actions to City and DMC leaders to allocate investments and resources.
CMRC Future
- Need to convene planning meeting still. Not easy to get everyone together
- Bandwidth is still a concern
Intercultural Hall:
- ACLA confirmed interests to join the conversation.
- Al and Kim will be meeting with DMC to working on elevated pitch for May 31 DMC real estate summit.
