We’d like to invite you to the first ever Rochester Healthy Community Partnership Photovoice exhibit: Through the Lens: Immigrant Perspectives on Health in Southeast Minnesota. This is a free event open to all community members, organizations, researchers, and more!

What: Over 3 months, Hispanic/Latino and Somali immigrant leaders in southeastern Minnesota learned photography skills and a process called Photovoice to document the health issues they see in our community. The goal of the project is to ensure that community members have a voice in shaping the policies and decisions that impact our health and lives.

When: Tuesday, March 5th 6:30-8:30 PM

Where: St. Mary’s University Rochester 2900 19th St NW, Rochester, MN 55901

What to expect:

  • View beautiful, impactful photos that visually capture the healthcare assets and needs in our community from the perspective of Hispanic/Latino and Somali immigrants
  • Talk to the Photovoice photographers about the stories behind the photos and associated policy recommendations

RSVP here: https://surveys.mayoclinic.org/jfe/form/SV_9uw88MGJVZLRgjk

Please forward this email to interested colleagues and friends.

We hope you will join us!
