"The pandemic has sparked an increase in racial discrimination against Asian Americans across the country, with many of these incidents impacting youth in schools. According to Act to Change, 1 in 4 Asian students have experienced COVID related bullying and 50% of Asian American students report bias-based harassment. Our schools need to do better to support and listen to Asian Youth.
As we continue to rebuild and reimagine our schools following the pandemic, we hope to create more spaces for students, parents, community members, and policymakers to build solutions together. Join us on August 11, 2022 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at the Roseville Skating Center Rose Room for dynamic panels featuring: 1) student and parent organizers who will share their experiences with anti-Asian hate incidents in the past 2 years, 2) Superintendents from Edina Public Schools, Forest Lake, and St Paul Public Schools. We will engage in discussion on community solutions to create an education system where all students can thrive.
