Announcement
Braver Angels Minnesota is organizing Common Ground Workshops on Immigration for residents across Minnesota. These workshops bring together people with differing political perspectives to engage in respectful conversation and identify areas of shared understanding.
The workshop aims to produce a document called Points of Agreement that outlines shared values, concerns, and potential policy ideas. A small group of participants may later be invited to present these points to Congressman Brad Finstad and his staff.
Rochester resident Chris Schoenherr will guide participants through a series of structured activities designed to help people from across the political spectrum find areas of agreement on immigration. The shared ideas developed during the workshop will be summarized and shared with Rep. Finstad and his staff.
This is an opportunity to listen, be heard, and help demonstrate that respectful dialogue can lead to common ground, even on difficult issues.
Application Process
If you are interested in participating, please complete the following questions before May 28, 2026.
This form is an application only and does not guarantee participation. Selected participants will receive details by email.
Congressional staff may observe the workshop but will not participate in the discussion.
