Lack of access to driver's licenses in MN to the undocumented community jeopardizes everyone's safety. We demand licenses for everyone now!
The time is now! We call on Governor Tim Walz and the leaders of the House of Representatives and State Senate to pass a Driver's License proposal within the first 45 days of the 2023 legislative session.

Former Governor Tim Pawlenty in 2003 removed access to driver's licenses from undocumented people. His anti-immigrant policy continues to have a severe impact on the lives of thousands. Parents cannot transport their children to school or extracurricular activities. People who dare to drive without licenses, in many cases stopped by police, have faced deportation. Families have been separated by this anti-immigrant law. The time has come—let's change the law.

There are a significant number of chiefs of police, business, and other sectors of society who support giving driver's licenses to our immigrant community.
Join us on Tuesday, November 29 at 5pm for a virtual program about our struggle. There will be special guests and an opportunity to ask questions. The event will be broadcast on Facebook Live and Radio Jornalera MN.
