Workshop Description

Recently, the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners accepted the final recommendations from a joint study on race and racism as a public health issue led by two of its advisory groups. Work will begin this fall to review the recommendations and develop an implementation plan.

Join us to hear from individuals that worked directly on the effort. There will be time for questions. Invite a friend who wants to learn more! The final report is available online at The Olmsted County Website.

Amy Liebel
Amy Liebl is a Management Analyst with the Policy, Analysis and Communications Department that has worked at Olmsted County for six years. In her day to day work she supports her organization in the areas of facilitation, project management, community engagement, continuous improvement and other analysis type work. She was honored to be asked to lead the joint study on race and racism as a public health issue project. Outside of work Amy enjoys reading books, painting (badly) with her daughter and working on house projects with her husband.

Abby Tricker
Abby Tricker is a Community Health Specialist that has worked at Olmsted County Public Health Services for 14 years. Her role has primarily been working on community-based prevention efforts around substance use and traffic safety. Internal to the organization, she has had a special interest in equity work and was humbled when asked to join the Joint Study on Race and Racism as a Public Health Issue effort as an advisor. Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter and being artistic either through acrylic painting or baking cakes and cookies.
